College for Kids: Design It. Cut It! Laser Cutting for Teens, Ages 13–17 (GCC Main | Oct. 13, 2026)

Turn your ideas into something you can hold! In this beginner-friendly, hands-on College for Kids workshop, teens will explore the basics of laser cutting and create a simple design of their own. Participants will learn how laser cutters work, prepare a digital design, and see how a computer-created idea can be transformed into a precisely cut or engraved object.
Location: GCC - Main Campus, 6000 W Olive Ave., STEAMworks Center (SWC) Building , Glendale, AZ 853O2
Date/Time: Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Instructor: David Weaver

No prior design or laser cutting experience is needed. Participants will leave with their own finished creation. This class is designed specifically for ages 13–17.

Refund Acknowledgement *

Unless otherwise specified, students must drop non-credit Community Education classes prior to the class start date to be eligible for a 100% refund.  Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
