This hands-on Community CPR course is designed for individuals with little to no medical training who want to be prepared to respond in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to perform high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to respond to choking incidents. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certification card valid for two years. Perfect for parents, caregivers, teachers, coaches, and anyone who wants to make a difference in their community. Please note that this course is not intended for Healthcare Practitioners or those attempting to enter the field.

Introduction to American Sign Language

Learn the fundamentals of American Sign Language (ASL) in this interactive and engaging course at Glendale Community College. Students will develop basic communication skills in ASL, including fingerspelling, vocabulary, grammar, and facial expressions. The course also introduces Deaf culture, history, and the role of ASL in the Deaf community. Designed for beginners, no prior experience is required. By the end of the course, students will be able to carry on simple conversations and gain a deeper appreciation for visual language and cultural diversity.
