CPR and AED for Non-Healthcare Professionals (GCC North | August 8)

The American Heart Association’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Celebrate summer and America’s 250th birthday with a festive red, white, and blue dessert creation! In this hands-on Make & Take Workshop, participants will decorate their own patriotic pizza cookie using fresh fruit, sweet frosting, and creative designs inspired by the stars and stripes. Learn simple decorating techniques, tips for arranging colorful toppings, and ways to create a crowd-pleasing dessert perfect for Fourth of July gatherings and summer celebrations. Participants will leave with a delicious take-home dessert ready to share and enjoy. Ages 13 and older are welcome; participants ages 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult. No prior baking or decorating experience needed—all supplies are provided.
