Curious about laser cutting? Get hands-on with the technology in this beginner-friendly workshop for teens and adults. You’ll create a simple digital design while learning the basics of laser cutting and engraving, including how laser cutters work, how designs are prepared, and how an idea on the screen becomes a precisely cut or engraved object.

No prior design or laser cutting experience is needed. Participants will leave with their own finished creation. Open to ages 13 and up; participants ages 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Waiver Required: All participants must complete a General Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability form before participating. Participants ages 13–17 must have the form signed by a parent or guardian. The waiver is linked below for preview. A physical copy may be signed at check-in, or participants may bring a completed signed copy to class.

Refund Acknowledgement *

Unless otherwise specified, students must drop non-credit Community Education classes prior to the class start date to be eligible for a 100% refund.  Refunds are issued to the original form of payment. To drop a Community Education class, email CTE@gccaz.edu at least 24 hours before the class start date. Please include your name and the class you wish to drop.
