Introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) 3-Day Crash Course (GCC Main | July 6-8 from 1-3pm)
Learn the fundamentals of American Sign Language (ASL) in this interactive and engaging course at Glendale Community College. Students will develop basic communication skills in ASL, including fingerspelling, vocabulary, grammar, and facial expressions. The course also introduces Deaf culture, history, and the role of ASL in the Deaf community. Designed for beginners, no prior experience is required. By the end of the course, students will be able to carry on simple conversations and gain a deeper appreciation for visual language and cultural diversity. Open to all ages.
